Energy<br \/>\nstorages, both electric and thermal, can help to overcome the disadvantages of these energy sources. A latent heat<br \/>\nstore designed to cooperate with a photovoltaic micro-installation and a cooling system was selected for testing.<br \/>\nA numerical model of the heat storage was made and a series of numerical calculations of the charging and<br \/>\ndischarging of the heat accumulator was carried out for different geometries of the phase change medium. The<br \/>\nprocesses of solidification and melting were modelled using an enthalpy-porosity approach. The obtained results<br \/>\nwere illustrated on the summary characteristics.
