The article presents and analyses recommendations and guidelines of significant industry societies such as ASHRAE,
REHVA, EUROVENT ME and polish National Institute of Public Health (NIZP-PZH) for the reduction of potential risk
of transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and as a result the COVID-19 disease through ventilation installations.
An attempt has been made to systematize the collected recommendations. They are intended to provide a basis for
detailed guidelines and procedures for HVAC installations for ad hoc implementation in existing facilities. These
actions may require additional training for technical staff and property managers.
