nalyzes comparing the costs of gas network execution for four investments using the trench and trenchless method were presented. These analyzes show that the drilling method is a more attractive choice in economic terms for most cases. The total costs of trenchless execution of gas networks in 3/4 of the analyzed cases are lower and account for 83% ÷ 90% of execution costs using the open excavation method. In one of the cases, the costs of execution using the open excavation method are lower and account for 98% of the costs of execution using the drilling method. When analyzing assembly works, in the trenchless method, a large share of the costs is the execution of drillings and jacking, which can often exceed the cost of excavations – especially with large diameters of the network.
In order to economically assess a given gas network construction project and select the appropriate method of implementation, many factors must be taken into account. These include the type of soil in the area, the depth of groundwater, the multitude of underground infrastructure, the surface on the route of the network and the diameter of the pipeline related to the price of drilling. Each project should be approached individually.
